Kashmir is one of those places that refuses to stay in the past tense. Every valley, every road, every conversation carries a weight that guidebooks can't prepare you for. And yet, its beauty is completely disarming — the kind that makes you stop mid-sentence.
This is my personal account of travelling through Kashmir — the landscapes I photographed, the people I met, and the quiet complexity of a place that is simultaneously breathtaking and deeply layered in history, politics, and longing.
